The Bethlehem Star motif is one of the most prevalent in Palestinian tatreez embroidery, and these earrings are handstitched on wood using tatreez (Palestinian embroidery).

Earring hardware is made of surgical stainless steel. Note that while the example is shown with fishhook style earrings, I have since upgraded to leverback hardware which is what yours will come with.
